  • Founded Taiwan Toyota Auto Body Conversion Co., Ltd. a joint venture established by CHUN YUAN and Japanese Toyota Auto Body Co., Ltd. to refit automobile; to manufacture, sell, lease, repair automobile steel parts.

  • Invested in Shenzhen Hongyuan Metal Industry Co., Ltd. through Chun Yuan Investment (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. and Shenzhen Chun Yuan Steel Industry Co., Ltd.
  • The subsidiaries Chun Yuan Investment Co., Ltd. and Chun Cho Investment Co., Ltd. were merged.

  • Invested Shanghai Chun Yuan Steel Industry Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Chun Yuan Steel Industry Co., Ltd. through Chun Yuan Investment (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.

  • Investment to add a Tucheng Steel Sheet Plant.
  • Investment to expand Kaohsiung Steel Sheet Plant and Special Steel Plant.

  • Die & Tooling Plant was founded under the Press Department to manufacture the molds to be pressed.
  • Installed 4Hi/2Hi reversible cold rolling mill and bell-type annealing furnaces in the Rolling Plant under the Special Steel Strip Division.
  • Expanded Kaohsiung Steel-Processing Service Center.
1989
  • With Malaysian LION GROUP to manufacture steel-made containers.
1988
  • Installed 5-foot rotary leveling & shearing machine in Commercial Steel Division Xizhi Plant.
  • Installed 1,000MT & 500MT hydraulic presses and Japanese-made 600MT & 500MT mechanical presses in the casting foundry.
  • Installed 4-foot slitter and 200MT USA-made MINSTER hi-speed precision press in Electrical Steel Division Taichung Plant.
  • Installed 2MT high-frequency induction furnace in the steel-forging factory; and had thus increased production capacity to 900MT per month.
1986
  • Founded Storage Equipment Division and entered in Technical Cooperation Agreement with Japanese KONGO CO., LTD. regarding the design and production of the automatic storage equipment.
1985
  • Founded Taichung Plant under the Electrical Steel Division to manufacture motors and electrical steel laminations.
  • Kaohsiung Steel Plate-Processing Plant moved to Shiao Kang District. The Plant occupies an area of 33,060 sq-meters.
1984
  • Founded Kaohsiung Plant to process steel plates.
  • Corporate headquarters was moved to Fuhsiung N. Rd., Taipei.
1981
  • Founded the Special Steel Strip Division Rolling Factory in Longtan Plant; and then established the Steel Casting Foundry in Longtan Plant to manufacture automobile accessories and steel casting products.
  • An automatic steel-forging factory was established in the same year.
1980
  • Founded the Steel Structure Plant in Longtan Township.
  • Established another plant in Longtan Township with Japanese TOKAI CENTRY INDUSTRY CO., LTD. to manufacture plasticmade disposable lighters.
1979
  • Purchased 231,400 sq-meters land in Longtan Township, Taoyuan County, as the site of new plant.
1975
  • Founded Special Steel Division to handle the import of special steels for processing and sale.
1973
  • Started importing silicon steel plates and coils to be stripped and EI stamped.
  • Founded UNION CONTAINER INDUSTRIES CO., LTD. a joint venture established by CHUN YUAN and Japanese firms, to manufacture steel-made containers.
1970
  • Purchased 39,700 sq-meters land in Xizhi City, Taipei County. Xizhi Plant was completed at year end.
  • Established Construction Division to handle steel frame & structure projects.
1965
  • Chun Yuan Steel Industry Co., Ltd. is incorporate at No. 88, Taiyuan Rd., Taipei City, engaging in the trading, processing, sales and purchase of steel sheet materials.
  • The name “Chun Yuan”History comes from “Chun Sheng Iron Material Store” and “Yuan” of “Tsai Xi Store” the implication is “Unlimited spring view, with distance source and long flow.
  • Founded Erchong Plant in Sanchong City specializing in machinery installation, leveling and shearing hot rolled steel coil and sales. With paid-in capital NT$3 million.
